For students to be able to play the game of FAB-A-DIFFY™, they must first know the mathematics and essential knowledge of fractions equivalence, arithmetic combinations, and how to connect symbolic procedures with visual models. This video gives students the underlying math behind the game and allows them to explore aspects of relations between fractions with common denominators before attempting to play the game. Several examples from Adventures in Problem Solving and Investigations Exercises are presenting in this video.
